Three free verse sonnets

I said: “O Queen, You’re the Light in my darkness;

The gaze that captivates my breath.”

She replied: “O Lover, I am your flower-garden;

You’re the wafts that soothes my Being.”

Exquisite are these tender words,

That has so eloquently kissed my core.

My tears are but a shallow puddle,

In this great river of impassioned flow.

I am bewildered by this beauty;

Her certain familiarity in my Heart.

She has given me a voice to express,

This ancient Love that so envelops me,

Like fire, burning the wounds of my ignorance,

To light a thousand candles in my soul.

Love Whispers to the Moon. Poem Two

Light ultimately conquers the Heart,

As fuel does the wood.

The awakening of Sunrise,

Is but a stone’s throw away.

The pathways of longing runs, like a spiral,

Weaving its way to liberation’s door.

The ancient secrets of the stars,

Reflect the beauty of trials ...adversity,

Like an interrupted dance.

Impeded ... by only a temporary glitch,

In the inner melody of the Lute.

The poise, the eloquence ... the serenity of flow returns,

When the flame once more, ignites the Soul,

And Love whispers to the moon.

Only You, my Beloved, Only You. Poem three

Just You, my Beloved, just You.

Why talk about anything else?

Not this, not that…

You are the placeless …

The One with no name.

No, not the glorious sunlight;

Not the ‘shooting’ star …

I have walked all this way … for eons,

To become completely yours.

Not the nobility of creation;

Not the salutation to the sun.

Only You, O Lover, only You.

I fell asleep on the river of time,

And awoke, only to find You,

O my Absolute Queen, O Light of the Beyond.

      Amazing poetry befitting of an amazing couple! I had to go down and read Bill's comment before leaving one of my own. I knew this would put a smile on his face. I'm glad Bev was there to enjoy this exquisite celebration!

      Thank you, Alicia.

      I write to my Supreme Beloved, but I see Him in the world first, then it becomes easier. Read it that way. But yes, I'm unique. Ha ha. I really like how you appreciate my poetry.

      Manatita,

      thank you my very dear friend for your reply to my comment, and I am going to copy & paste your reply to an email, to myself, as a reminder of which words are to which sense, and likewise, which sense is to which words...my head is spinning from this last sentence of mine, but your peaceful spirit has put it tenderly back into its original place, which is a relief to many.

      Much Love and Admiration!

      In this great river of impassioned flow and Love whispers to the moon are my two favorite lines from this poem. I love the elegant words of beauty you chose. Great work my friend.

      Thank you, my Sweet.

      Of course I'm referring to God and if you read it this way, then it makes infinitely more sense. Still, sometimes I do it in such a way that it appeals to the offering, as well as the lives it is meant to touch. They tend to be so special and an embodiment of what I write. God bless you, Tamara, for your soft and loving Heart. Have a great Sunday.

      P.s. Now let this writer talk about words. 'pleasure' appeals to the senses; 'inspiration' appeals to the Heart ... the psychic Heart.

      Soulfulness ... sublime ... lofty ... self-giving ... just some spiritual words. Of course these are all meaningless, if the Heart is right ... sincere ... without guile. Praise be!!

      Yes, Linda.

      An awesome Love, isn't it? When Bill first spoke of you, I thought it was another Linda. I mean, she is very special, too. Some women truly compliment their men and vice versa, of course. Brings out the best. Blessed be the man who has found his woman; blessed be the woman who has found her man. Have a great Sunday.

      Ah, Dora,

      You're remembering me. So charming! You understand the philosophy. Much Love.
