This Old Ghost (Poem)
Modified by Larry Fossen and Christine B.
This old ghost, she played one,
she played nick-knack
On my tomb.
With a nick-knack, paddy whack,
Give a ghost a tomb,
This old ghost still haunts my home.
This old ghost, she played two,
she played nick-knack with a boo!
With a nick-knack, paddy whack,
Hear the ghost say boo!,
This old ghost still haunts my home.
This old ghost, she played three,
she played nick-knack with my keys.
With a knick-knack, paddy whack,
Have to find my keys,
This old ghost still haunts my home.
This old ghost, she played four,
she played knock-knock on my door.
With a knock-knock, paddy whack,
Don’t answer that blasted door,
This old ghost still haunts my home.
This old ghost, she played five,
she played scratch-scratch on my hide.
With a scratch-scratch, paddy whack,
Got to protect my hide,
This old ghost still haunts my home.
This old ghost, she played six,
she played nick-knack just for kicks.
With a nick-knack, paddy whack,
Do not like her tricks,
This old ghost still haunts my home.
This old ghost, she played seven,
she played nick-knack up to heaven.
With a nick-knack, paddy whack,
Send the ghost to heaven,
This old ghost still haunts my home.
This old ghost, she played eight,
she played nick-knack on Heaven’s gate.
With a nick-knack, paddy whack,
Can’t get in the gate,
This old ghost still haunts my home.
This old ghost, she played nine,
she played nick-knack all the time.
With a nick-knack, paddy whack,
Sage this house of mine,
This old ghost still haunts my home.
This old ghost, she played ten,
she played nick-knack once again.
With a nick-knack, paddy whack,
Give a ghost new life,
This old ghost still haunts my home.
This old ghost, she played hell
She played nick-knack with my bell
With a nick-knack, paddy whack
Send the ghost to hell
This old ghost will haunt no more.
