The Destiny of a Chair

Updated on December 5, 2012

Many are like me;
made with purpose,
with integrity.
Strong legs and arms,
dull and demure,
just as you see;
I wait for you
to fulfill me.

I am complete
just as I stand,
but stop and stay;
you are my destiny.
Built with patience
and honesty,
a soft, safe place
for you to be.

Your day is long;
you've places to go,
but I'll be here
when you need to slow.
Others, may offer
the same as I;
for you I am special,
I don't know why.

      Thank you so much Ms. Brooks! A great compliment that is coming from one so well versed. My original intent was similar, but the final result surprised me yet again. What fun it is to put ourselves and others into the objects we see every day.

      Welcome to my hubs Oceansider, and thank you also for your kind words. I'm glad you enjoyed looking in and I will be sure to reciprocate!
