To Lie and Cheat and Steal
To Lie and Cheat and Steal
Children, here’s a lesson
That you may not have known
Some things you do when you are small
You may still do when you’re grown
To lie and cheat and steal
Is never any good
You may think that you’re oh so smart
But you’re the joke of the neighborhood
Early Sunday moments
When you should be in church
You stay home and plot your deeds
To leave your friends all in a lurch
Some people, even though they’re smart
Mean – evil things they do
I promise, If you keep it up
It will catch up with you!
If you try to cheat a neighbor
If you lie to your new friend
No one will ever like you
You’ll be the loser in the end
Kids, please learn this lesson
So the neighborhood won’t say
“The Liar – Cheaters gone now …
Cause it’s EVICTION day!”
If you ever have to move away
And make a brand new start
Be NICE to your new neighbors
Show them you have a heart
You can have a second chance
You’ll have a clear clean slate
So get you act together
Before it is too late!
If you see yourself here
Learn this lesson well
At the Pearly Gates there’s Heaven
But keep doing bad … there’s … Hell!
