Today Shines And Tomorrow Beckons

Updated on September 7, 2013

Good morning to you all ;again the past week has been so hectic which is why I haven't been around.

Today my daughter Sue is in hospital waiting to be induced and hopefully our gorgeous little grandson Travis will make his way into the world before the end of today.

Yes Ellie, Charlie, Neyo and Carmel will have a little baby brother.

My legacy is to share my life in the hope of helping others move along and hopefully to ease their pain.

Today my heart flies even higher ; my sweet song of life even brighter.

If any of you have found the strength to face up to your demons and are living life as your true self do not be surprised if good times flow freely rising to wondrous heights.

Even though you already stand on the highest rung of the ladder of life there may be a crowning glory ;moments to treasure will flow and will be yours to embrace eternally. This has certainly happened to me this week I know that my tomorrows will shine brightly..

Today's hub is about connecting the dark and cold side of life with the victorious happy and bright side.

The sun is gone

into the dusk of time.

Lives now sinking

in that bleak coldness

Turning flat-roofed houses

crepe squares of

and fear.

The gloomy

and cold

bringing reluctant tears

to wide open eyes.

Blots of blackness

blurred a vision

horizon becoming

a blurred darkness;

light fading fast.

A heavy heart wallowing

in the dusk of yesteryear.

The new dawn now a striking promise

turning those bitter thoughts to

glimmers of hope.

Each blot of darkness lifts;

watery eyes

now filled

with magical

wondrous dew drops;

the tears of yesteryear

are the magical dewdrops of today

and the sincere promises of tomorrow.

Feelings icy cold

Her thoughts are tumbling raindrops

Heavy and deadly.

Such a trusting heart

Emotions of true wonder

A new world invites.

Bleak uninviting

Barren lands will devour

That cold curdling wind.

A breeze so mellow

Transforms the barren landscape

New dawns now venture.

The stillness of night

A deep fear of temptations

Goose pimples threaten.

A bright dawn surrounds

Giving sweet reassurances

A brand new era.

Yesterday's retreat

Brittle images fading

Sunshine filters through

So unexpected

These final chains cast aside

Yes my wondrous world.

Hearts now oh so warm

Tasting sweet nectars of life

A life now complete.

Another sure step

On the ladder of life

Each one a milestone.

Yes crushed to the ground

Those remnants of yesteryear

Now dust and rubble.

Never to have been

My heart now sings so proudly

Tomorrow beckons.

My heart doth sing

Each moment treasured

The dewdrops now rests and glisten

Each one leading to my tomorrows

I so eagerly step forward

Each footstep so precious

A new era

Teach little ones the way

embrace those baby footsteps

teach them through love

show them through laughter.

Heroes so precious

the way through each life;

let them know and let them feel that love inside

embrace those searching eyes

caress each innocent heart.

The greatest love of all

to share a beauty and to lead the way through life

to teach through love

trust and belief.

Children are our future

tenderly and lovingly

caress each innocent being

and each young heart

filled with love and laughter.

This is the greatest love of all.

Dearest Eddy, this is so touchingly beautiful, as always. You know how to turn words into art, and art into words for sure, my friend! Whitney Houston's song is so appropriate for this poetic walk from cold darkness into the bright light of tomorrow. I LOVE the kitten and Momma cat--so adorable! What a great way to start my weekend--with my very favorite poetess and friend from Wales.

Best wishes and loving prayers for you and your daughter and new grandbaby! Be well ;) Pearl
