Transformation

Updated on December 8, 2013
carolinemd21 profile image

I am an artist, designer, photographer and writer. See more of my work on cmariearts.

Why do we hurt ourselves

Bringing out nothing

But sadness and pain

A struggle within

Love lost

Wanting something

That has been buried

Long ago

Waiting

Agelessly

Wanting

For it to show

You change

Transform

Into more beauty

Fixing

Every broken part

Hoping for the rest

To fix itself

Never stopping

Heart

A butterfly

Emerging

From the cocoon

Into a worldy

Heaven

Something unknown

Do not be afraid

I am here to guide

You

Take small steps

Don't let life

Blind you

Cheeky Girl always gives me this saying ... "Why do we get all this life if we don't ever use it...?"

I read this hub and I am thinking of that quote now, Caroline.

I think we all have the latent ability to transform ourselves and our own lives. Sometimes we have to be shown how to do it.

This is a beautiful hub. :)

I love the last line--don't let life blind you--and you know, it does seem that way sometimes, doesn't it. Voted up and beautiful. Thanks for sharing.

Taking small steps is fine, it's the first one that is the hardest. Lovely poem.
