Twilight Time
When Beauty and Power Meet
A shimmering glint of magnificence stretches across the sky where darkness meets light; the Sun strained to remain relevant; but night had its own beauty to showcase, and would not be denied; what an awesome sight …Twilight, when day and night meet together in the sky and all of creation pause to witness a cosmic dance that have been going on, twice a day, since the beginning of time.
When heaven and earth pause to witness this phenomenal spectacle, the stars sing and, the earth dance and, all creatures everywhere are awestruck. Beauty and power strike the horizon, while most of us go about our daily business. We are either unaware or unmoved by the spectacle; which is sad, to say the least.
If we are to enjoy life, then shouldn’t we allow all of our senses to partake of the joy that was ordained for them from the beginning? How can we deny our eyes the joy of witnessing one of the most spectacular sights in all of creation? Is it because we are “reminded” of our humanity, our limited knowledge? Twilight time, a time of decline and, a time of renewal.
The sun and moon have a mutual respect, one for the other. The sun ruling the day and, the moon ruling the night. At each passing of the guard, twilight time, all of creation bow in respect, yet we, the crown of Gods’ creation, seem unmoved. I say we should gather our sense of awe and amazement into a collective bow to the creator of heaven and earth when we rise and when we lay down. Twilight time.
