Two Spring Poems

Updated on March 23, 2011

Sun straining through a block of ice
Finally bursts through.
I look up thankfully,
Worship it
Beg it
Never to leave me again.

Spring returns like an insouciant child
Petulant and
Daring us to scold
Threatening to go away
As quickly as it came.

Hey fellow New Yorker, are you sure it's spring? LOL.

      Very nice poem.

      Thanks for sharing.

I wish Spring would never leave right now, too, after that wearisome winter. I think this is a nice poem too.
