Two little boys
Two little boys, they grow up so fast
Two little boys, have their birthdays at last
They waited all year for their day to arrive
They thought they never would ever survive
The oldest was first, on a Tuesday this year
The day turned out perfect with nothing to fear
The presents were just what the young man requested
A good time was had by all uncontested
On Easter the youngest will be a year older
Another year smarter and taller and bolder
Easter Eggs and Birthday cake, quite a combination
A special way to celebrate, Jesus’ resurrection
Gone are the days of the zoo and the park
Library story time and bed before dark
Instead we make time for cub scouts and sports
School days, homework and book reports
Time goes by, they grow and they change
Each moment precious, no two the same
My life is sacred, my love entwined
With these two little boys of mine.
