Under the Dome is a return for the bestselling book author Stephen King. Stephen King began writing this book in the 1980s, and after more than 1,000 pages published it this November 2009. It past 25 years, but finally this novel was completed and ready to be another bestseller.
Stephen King told to an audience at the Library of Congress in Washington DC in 2008 that he the first idea for this book was taken 25 years ago: "I tried this once before when I was a lot younger, but the project was just too big for me and I let it go, I let it slide," he said.
The plot: The habitants of the town of Chester's Mills, Maine, suddenly find that their town has been sealed off by an invisible force field. There are planes that crash into it and fall from the sky...
Stephen Edwin King was born in Portland, Maine in 1947.
