Unveiled Countenance - Poem
Lord, You uncover all grief within me, bare it lies,
As You expose it, as a somber chord,
You unveil and unseal Your countenance in me,
It is liken to the heat of the blazing sun,
You heal all of sorrows symphonies,
You allow me to experience Your joy,
Your countenance is my medicine,
Of which a merry heart emerges with prose and song,
You fill me with gladness,
I delight in Your majesty and magnificence,
I am filled with the delight of living, moving, and
having my being in You,
You unveil Your countenance, and I am helped and healed,
Springs of living and pure waters pour, and
I am refreshed to praise and worship You,
You light up my way each and every day,
Wonderful surprises are imbedded in all of life,
You unveil Your countenance and I can see
Clearer than I could see yesterday,
All the beauty of who You are accompanies me everywhere I turn, and
I love being in Your Presence.
Psalm 42:1-2
As the hart panteth after the water brooks, so panteth my soul after thee, O God. My soul thirsteth for God, for the living God: when shall I come appear before God?
