Vegas Street Poetry Vol.7
Is anyone out there?
Dry and secluded
The old wooden structures
Crack and splinter
Just outside of Death Valley
Where nothing
Seems to matter
Empty bottles
Heavy hearts
Hidden in
Snake holes
Counting their time
Kissing their children
Waiting for
A revelation
Outskirts
Miles away from the city
Soundless
Noiseless
Nothing but the echoes of sand
With dreams
Long forgotten
Buildings
Wither away
In nature
The desert decays
The lives once settled
Now abandoned
Captured
By my eyes and camera
A lonesome home
Amargosa
Was once a home of mine
Shifting Sands
The dunes are alive Crawling In slow motion Tonight We come to life As children In the desert Waving hello To goodbyes The sun Is falling deeper Towards the western horizon The flames Of the fire Are soon to be Our only ally The Shifting Sands Will hide us The Shifting Sands Will guide us In the fashion Of the wild By the children Of the desert Sand blows In the wind Away from the city Forgiving its sins
