The heat
The heat has carried me Past insanity I can feel my boots Sticking to the asphalt Each step forward Feels like a step back The erupting sun Is melting me down to a puddle This damn heat has me hallucinating Stripping off Another layer of clothing Drinking water No longer brings satisfaction Energy is completely depleted Yet still i stumble In a direction That I've forgotten I've lost my appetite I just want to Stick my head into the freezer To fall asleep And hibernate until the winter
The people
We meet
Dressed up
To greet each other
Their voices
Their egos
And what lays beneath them
Falling together
Piece them together
For what remains
Never
Forever
The sun fell down
It ran out of breath It couldn't take the heat Like the rest of us The moon is off In the far corner of the sky Dropping sweat Onto the dehydrated desert below How many more months Until we can relax again? Trapped inside This horrible nightmare
