What Is Peace Felt?
We all have special memories with loved ones or astounding moments with nature we can all use for quiet moments of reflection. Recognizing the need for peaceful reflection, however brief, is essential. Did you ever count the ways in which we can use our imaginations to escape daily stress even for just one moment or five minutes? Creating such a list establishes a strong reminder for us to capture those moments in times of need. By having them at our disposal in our busy modern lives, we can better take advantage of quite moments of stillness in order to free our minds of daily clutter and worries. In addition, our brilliance becomes more free to enlighten our imaginations and conjure up ideas. It's so good for our health, our souls and our mental outlooks! So, with that in mind, I have compiled a list of reflective moments that may be helpful, accompanied by beautiful photography.
Contemplate, close your eyes and use your imagination. Enjoy . . . .

A fresh blanket of fallen snow
A soft breeze tickling your face
Looking up at the stars on a clear October night
Viewing a beautiful work of art

Winter's first snow

Beholding the landscape from the dune top
A warm smile
A warm bed
Walking through a grassy meadow
Watching and listening to children build sand castles
Holding a lovers hand

A purring kitty cat
Becoming one with a soothing saxophone solo
Observing busy little ants
When ones soul finally understands another's

A stroll through a beautiful garden landscape
Children laughing
Bedtime stories
Fairy tale endings
A mother's tender kiss
A visit from Grandma
The echo of a distant train whistle

Alone deep in the forest

The sound of gentle waves cascading across grains of sand
Sifting sand through your fingers
Fulfilling a promise
Making Up
Making Love

Observing butterflies flutter from flower to flower

Witnessing a golden sunset over Lake Michigan
A hot meal
A good movie
A candle lit bath
Singing in the shower

When the beauty of a flower stops you in your tracks

Windswept resonances through treetops

Watching little fishes float freely
Standing outside during a warm downpour with open arms
The scent of fresh air after a morning rain shower

Silence in the marsh

When you have the beach all to yourself

Wading barefoot through a hidden forest pond

Free falling snowflakes
Listening to Christmas carols

Springtime blossoms
First warm day of Spring after a long hard Winter
Sitting around the campfire with loved ones
Listening to children's prayers

The colors and beauty of a freshly fallen autumn leaf

The hush after a thunderstorm
One's awareness of deep inhaling and exhaling
Trusting in The Creator and The Universe
Now I lay me down to sleep
I pray mankind will find the love to live in peace

Inspiration comes to me the beauty of nature all around, especially from my Lake Michigan shoreline community and just a step outside my front door to my country garden landscape. - Still The Waters

Nature poetry in search of meaning. Would we know love without fear, hot without cold, winter without summer? We live in a world of relativity so that we can know ourselves in God's experience.
