What is Peace Felt?

Updated on March 26, 2017

A fresh blanket of fallen snow

A soft breeze tickling your face

Looking up at the stars on a clear October night

Viewing a beautiful work of art

Winter's first snow

Beholding a landscape from the top of the dune

A warm smile

A warm bed

Walking through a grassy meadow

Watching and listening to children build sand castles

Holding a lovers hand

A purring kitty cat

Becoming one with a soothing saxophone solo

Observing busy little ants

When ones soul finally understands another's

A stroll through a beautiful garden landscape

Alone deep in the forest

The sound of gentle waves cascading across grains of sand

Children laughing

Bedtime stories

Fairy tale endings

A mother's tender kiss

A visit from Grandma

The echo of a distant train whistle

Windswept resonances through tops of trees

Sifting sand through one's fingers

Fulfilling a promise

Making Up

Making Love

Observing butterflies flutter from flower to flower

Witnessing a golden sunset over Lake Michigan

A hot meal

A good movie

A candle lit bath

Singing in the shower

Listening to Christmas carols

Free falling snowflakes

When the beauty of nature stops you in your tracks

Wading barefoot through a hidden forest pond

Watching little fishes float freely

The hush after a thunderstorm

Standing outside during a warm downpour with open arms

The scent of fresh air after a morning rain shower

Sitting around the campfire with loved ones

First warm day of Spring after a long hard Winter

One's awareness of deep inhaling and exhaling

Trusting in The Creator and The Universe

Now I lay me down to sleep

I pray mankind will find the love to live in peace

I love this, Kathi simply beautiful and I share each and every line as though from my own soul - except that my grandpas were both dead before my parents reached puberty. I've had the vicarious joy of seeing & sharing in my own grands and great-grands (and step-grands and great grandson) enjoy their step-grandpa, my beloved George, though. You are a true emissary of peace in a troubled world. Hugs. . .

Peace what is peace felt, well you've honored it magically. I value peace as it is priceless. Peace is my guide to a happy and balanced life always heading me in the right direction as when there is a lack of peace I know I should not do it, when at total peace I know I'm doing exactly what I should without doubt. Peace has no room for doubt! Love your work! :) Katie
