Finally I Started To Love...

Updated on May 15, 2013

please listen to the song..as you read, thanks!

Source

In the Beginning...

Oh my gosh, that was fun

my first feelings toward the opposite sex

having to share my pencil sharpener with her

truly was an experience I will never forget

amazing how these goosebumps still connect

From my mother's arms to feeling good looking down a skirt

so vivid and being able to dance with her and her twin

my little friend of eleven who did not dare a thing

feelings went and more feelings came!

Still to this day I can smell that perfume behind her neck

yeah, not romantic enough... but what the heck

was over ten and my hormones were ready to take that extra step

my teeth were not so flattering but I was joining forces with her

to go camping and play hide and seek in the end

This is wonderful, writing with a heart and words coming in time

not that bragging about it, but that was my love of all time

pure, sincere and always ready to buy her... her favorite pop-tart

I know... I Know all in the name of love and from the bottom of my heart

Sweet little young love that have survived in us

making us feel those moments that will never come back

unless you write a picture in words

and go the moment that you first began to love

Was so natural that at times I forgot to wear the right socks

was leaving my zipper down coming out of the bathroom

and she was smiling as I... tried to fix the 'raw meat' that was undone

we didn't kiss until thirteen because she thought she would have a baby, oh God!

Silly me that waited for two years and a half

and all along she was kissing this damn Jerry Callahan

shame on her when I found a love letter

candy bar, a new comic book and a 'love forever'

Soon we moved out of town and that past was gone

what really struck me was, why she didn't wait for me?

years later she was honest and told me the truth

my teeth were a hindrance when it was time to feel the blues

But we learned to live and learn

she is always busy, but I met her twin

I told her, what she wanted to hear

invited to dinner and to a beach near her village

It feels weird to have two feelings and kissing one dream

I've gotta make my mind an be careful when I want to scream her name

or her sister's Gwen, when Its the moment of 'no TV, no Hubs but lots of love!'

which ends the inspiration to a happy ending

with lots of moves and shouts up to the roof!

    My bad Brewster!

A typo error, corrected now, It was a 'poptart'. Glad you liked this piece! As we always mention, we just come naturally with the words and the final product is delivered after a few touch ups! Thanks for the Comment Brewster.

    Hi Jackie Lynnley,

Yes, our first love is the one that really marks our lives. At least..hopefully, the guy you are talking about was not worth the try?

I maybe wrong but this song had fewer lyrics and I was able to enjoy the words of your poem more. And the music was a great selection for this piece. And like me, being a writer, did you enjoy the poem? Yes, by all means and the music was prefect for it. By the way what the hell is a poptwart? Very Enjoyable!

It does bring back the memories. I fell in love so many times but the first one I saved knowing one day in the end he would wake up and claim me for his own. He never did, lol. But I lived. Great fun, thanks.

I remember this song well. My first crush was on Davy Jones of The Monkees. Of course, the show was finished a long time before that (I was 5?) As for my teenage years, I spent much of my time in a one-sided relationship.

I think that was a great idea adding music to your writing. However I would add a song without lyrics for I found myself listening more to the song then concenrating on the word of the article. But it is a good idea, only use music with no words so your words will have front stage. TY Brewster
