WHEN A WRITER WRITES
When a writer writes~
They tell their secrets~
Even sometimes~
Cloak-and-dagger is the scene.
Sometimes it is fancy~
Or frolicky and free~
Often thought out long~
And re-read by he.
When a writer writes~
They show their hearts~
Something normally a hush~
Is opened to the reader~
Or for years hidden in a trust.
Sometimes it is fact~
Or made up non-existent words~
Many can be spieled off random~
Yet still be art as it turns.
When a writer writes~
They tell about themselves~
When usually it is deep underground~
For no one to delve.
Sometimes it is made up~
Or precise to a tee~
Yet still there is some of them~
Left for you the reader to see.
When a writer writes~
They bare their souls~
Naked to the readers eye~
And top secrets are disclosed~
This they might deny.
Sometimes it is from the past~
Or sometimes it never be~
No matter what the writer writes~
It should be treasured speech.
