WOW! - Poem
WOW!
A new day and a new way of thinking
of seeing and being-
how fair, and completely
absolutely and unequivocally
unreal..
Nature's beauty cannot understand or comprehend
nor compete, or repeat what
God's molding hands
hath given to me.
Shakespeare tried in Romeo and Juliette,
Webster strived under "B"
to describe or ascribe what, today, my eyes
hath seen.
Such beauty, such tender grace,
a glow from within and one begins
to wonder when
this angel will ascend??
From whence did she come from Heaven
above to embrace us all with her
delicate love?
Say I this day, all I may
but nothing equates...
No not a summer's day, nor cloudless
climes and starry skies,
Not rosebuds if ye may, or the sea
where Annibel lies...
No words have yet been spoken
nor contrived to attest or manifest
or testify
to that which this gent has seen tonight.
Incredible, undreamt of, stunning
in every sense..
angels trod upon, hold upon
her every step..
But He whom knows all
has this day been so kind
a thousand times in my mind
I rewind
To you my public of gentle eyes
I avow
none so fair, none so real and wish
I could to you all tell
exactly how I feel..
having been where angels
kneel, and skies sing
next to the fair maiden
born of the King.
A bird I saw, so tender and true
A beauteous bounty through and through
and I have no idea how to construe
nor accrue the words for you.
Believe me, before even you believe
you can see,
believe me I say, before even you
can breathe
that my words I mumble
so meek and humble
doth fumble for what to pledge..
or allege..
I will try, I do solemnly vow
but for now, in this hour all I can
mutter is the word 'WOW'.
