Wanders (poem)
Where does she wander my sweet memory
The soft scented mist which blesses the night
That lost lover’s tears may vanish from sight
A whisper of dreams of some fantasy
-
My soul searches sorrow for signs of light
Some spark of something that used to be me
Some hidden answers which I didn’t see
Which wanders with she whom I once held tight
-
Was it the day which chased her away
A misspoken word an ill-gotten rose
-
What could I say to cause her to stay
Some meaningless lines she already knows
-
So now I must pay for past disarray
As she now wanders a part of me goes
