Wanders (poem)

Updated on August 9, 2012

Where does she wander my sweet memory

The soft scented mist which blesses the night

That lost lover’s tears may vanish from sight

A whisper of dreams of some fantasy

-

My soul searches sorrow for signs of light

Some spark of something that used to be me

Some hidden answers which I didn’t see

Which wanders with she whom I once held tight

-

Was it the day which chased her away

A misspoken word an ill-gotten rose

-

What could I say to cause her to stay

Some meaningless lines she already knows

-

So now I must pay for past disarray

As she now wanders a part of me goes

Voted up and awesome. This is such a wonderful and dreamy poem. Sometimes we express ourselves too late and it's a shame that a relationship ends. Passing this on.

This is beautiful and a little more serious than your limericks. I love the line "A misspoken word an ill-gotten rose.." Gorgeous!

Sleepless nights and endless questions. To accept blame, but not know why.

Back in the stone ages, when I was single, I had relationships that I often wondered what happened to make them just disappear. You express this sentiment beautifully. Voted up.
