Was It Spring (poem)

Updated on August 20, 2014

Was it spring when the moment was born

Splendor aroused the purpose of dawn

Within a glance world was redrawn

Rainbows appeared at hint of a name

-

Inviting were winds senses would spawn

Scents of a flower covered in flame

Thoughts lost in wonder nothing could tame

Turning to heartbeats seasons explain

-

Was it spring which this reason would claim

Fields of emotions dancing in rain

There in the silence whispers remain

Warming the snow of so long ago

-

There is tomorrow’s music’s refrain

There in the meaning of rivers flow

Answers for ever there waiting to show

And ever after was for this shorn

-

Was it spring destiny happen on

Draped in the crown of promises worn

Was this the time a soul would be sworn

All that I know is I love you so

      Amazing beautiful, Martin.

"All that I know is that I love you so". No loftier words were every spoken.

Andy Williams--very few voices have encapsulated love and music

that have the power to reach back into the years of our younger days.

      A fine match, here today.

      DJ.
