A Road to Salvation

A Road to Salvation

Our passions arise and go

Our feelings clasp the heart,

On a track is our caravan,

Everything moves all perfect,

An instant rage and life lost !

Our plans fascinate the world,

We strive to grasp galaxies,

We walk fine and elegant,

Tread the path all cautious,

A wrong glance and we fall !

Earnest are chants to deities,

Oblations all pure and divine,

Our songs reflect the heaven,

We devote our life to the faith,

A mild revulsion and heaven lost !

Cascades arise in our heart,

Our mind gathers gems bright,

Dreams divulge secrets to us,

Our vision opens a way to love,

A fillip to ego and all perished !

The basket of boons awaits us,

The lush orchid of mirth waves,

The wind spreads all blessings,

The dawn smiles at our doors,

A slip of mind and bliss ignored !

When our sight meets the heart,

Our eyes mingle with the soul,

Then each moment is the truth,

Each breath brings up salvation,

We embrace all and get expiated !

Quite an encapsulation of the challenges, pitfalls, gains and losses of living, with the 'happy ending' of discovery, truth and resolution. Good poetry, too.

How insightful comments ! Yes, when situation gets tough, we must be tougher. When we commit a grave mistake in a fit of rage, all our good actions are pushed backward. It is a great loss. Rage, indolence and mad rush should be avoided. Devika, I value your words greatly. Thanks for reading and appreciating the poem.

The challenges faced with in this rough and tough world allows us to be strong and to keep going no matter what is holding us back with force we have to go on and show what we can for ourselves. Acceptance is great and mostly hard to abide by.

The most appropriate and insightful comment received from you is really heartening ! Eric, our caravan is still going on and the journey is sometimes bumpy. Nonetheless, we have to remain vigilant and keep going. I love your comments- we have to change ourselves. Thanks for your kind visit and appreciating this poem and your great comments.

My friend I voted up and all the way across. This is a best description of life while at least trying to take a journey "caravan" toward betterment.

It is a great reminder to just accept those things we cannot change -- the world, but to change what we can --- ourselves.

I voted funny because this had me looking in the mirror, we humans are a funny bunch.
