Watching The Day Sowly Disappear

Updated on January 5, 2017

Kicking Back

A great way to catch up on some needed rest

Find a story you have been wanting to write

Then type away to your hearts delight

Never mind if it's right

Keep your ideas rolling

This may not be your best

It may be your easiest and fastest story yet

You can hear your fans cheering you on

Eager to peek at every word you jot

You have waited till now

As one thought crosses your mind

Another thought is lifted even higher

Make it a game

Pretend you got five thousand dollars just for signing your name

No pressure or stress

Just good memories and lots of laughs

Grab a bite to eat

Slide your hands under your seat

Just like an impatient kid

Bouncing up and down

Because your in the spirit

Celebrating life

You need no reason to justify

Leaning forward in your comfortable pajamas

Losing one slipper under the table

Feeling in such a great mood

Some people would say you found your groove

Tossing words around

Quickly as peanuts in your mouth

Making a story line

Characters out of people from your past

Then developing it easily

No guidelines

Breaking all the rules

Add a little here

Take some away here

What we have is a silly story

One that gave us pure joy

Jodah I feel the connection from my hand and pen to the paper. The story just flows. I type on an I pad for convience and I am trying to go more modern high tech. I am so glad to hear there are other people that enjoy the old method. I am looking forward to reading your hub "A Story Never Written". Thank you for reading and sharing so many ideas and comments. Have a great day. May your pen move with great speed and ease. Writing each word that will satisfy everyone's desires and needs.

Dream On, I am like you. I use a pen and paper to write my poems and stories. I don't often do it in Word like most people (though sometimes I save it there later). If you have time I'd like you to read my latest hub "A Story Never Written" and give me your opinion. I would greatly appreciate that. have a great weekend.

ChangingTides2331 Writing is a reflection of our life. It could mean so many things. What we want and can't have. Something that happened and we changed the result to a better ending one that we like more. A make believe world where people walk upside down and when people talk they end every sentence with a laugh. No need for pauses or periods. I constantly dive into many scenarios and play them out in my head as they were real. I get into my character and see where it will lead. Thank you for reading and caring. One day I will write for days and the nights will be left for sleeping. The magic of my words will fill my body with with the spirit and drive to accomplish a writing so special it can only be read when you close your eyes. Thank you for making the time to comment. It means a great deal to me. My biggest problem in my past is when I write with a pen and the ink runs out and I don't have another one. All my thoughts collide and keep asking me the same question why? Why have you stopped writing. They don't understand with no ink I can not write. All they know is when I do write my words become their life. Now that thought can keep me up all night.

You make writing sound like a lot of fun in this poem. Something everybody should try to do to come to grips with everyday life. This poem should be a writer's daily preamble.

Gypsy Rose Lee Hope your feeling well soon. Thinking good thoughts and working on wonderful ideas will carry you to inspiration and new vitality. You and all your special and meaningful comments have done this for me many times. Today you lift me up and I hope you can go even higher. Thank you for all your support. The world is as big or small as we see it. I like to think it is enormous and we all are such an incredible part of it. Sharing so much I can only comprehend the tiniest piece. Have a beautiful day.

With the deep freeze we are having here day in and day out I don't feel too well so all I am doing is watching each day come up and then fade away. I feel much better when the dark comes and so I am sleeping a good part of the days away. I know I will feel much better once the weather gets normal again.

Jodah There are so many words to pick from I am often overwhelmed by our choices.I thought wouldn't it be something to write a book using the same words from a best seller and write a whole different story and see how that book would do. You and I would know it's the same book just expressed in a whole different way. I sit and think how any writer is so gifted and creative because they are able to take my thoughts as if he or she plucked them out of my brain and wrote about it so vividly and beautifully. So that same silly writing might just end up be the next best selling children's book or maybe just a hysterical snowy afternoon. in Maine we had two inches of snow here where Massachusetts two states over got 8 to 10. This morning when I went to shovel this light, fluffy cute white powder I couldn't be happier. The people in Massachusetts not so happy. Thank you for reading and sharing. Writing can be such a pleasant outlet for so many emotions. I wish more people would write more and harm other people less. It requires time and energy. After a day of writing I want to grab my big soft pillow and a warm blanket and go off to sleep. Have a happy Sunday.

Love this, Dream On. Sometimes we just have to give our pen (or keyboard) the freedom to do its own thing, no matter how frivolous or silly it seems. I often have fun just writing willy nilly stuff that has no real meaning other than to make me feel good.
