One Creation

Two Quotes from Sri Chinmoy

“If we live in our Oneness-Heart,

We will feel the essence of all religions,

Which is the Love of God.

Forgiveness, compassion, tolerance, brotherhood,

And the feeling of Oneness,

Are the signs of a true religion.” –Sri Chinmoy.

“Be kind, be all sympathy.

For each and every human being,

Is forced to fight against himself.” –Sri Chinmoy.

Reconciliation and Forgiveness

Rohini's Story

Rohini walked up to the prison door with a joyful Heart. For months she had written to Panchari, but either because of his guilt, insecurity, lack of remorsefulness or all three, he had refused to see her.

Not today, she hoped. She was so happy when the call came! The Prison Officer, acting on behalf of the prisoners, told her that Panchari was truly sorry, that he had been on his cell phone when the truck hit her, and that when he actually saw her in those split seconds, it was too late to stop. He was now full of remorse and pleading for forgiveness.

He had agreed to meet her, and now, flinging open those gates of the prison where he was still held six months later, she felt relieved, happy and with much Peace within. She had suffered a broken leg, but felt after all, that it could have been much worse. Going up to Panchari, who was now standing in anticipation at the Prison Officers side, she embraced him, gave him a great big hug, and told him that all was forgiven.

By the time Rohini left nearly one hour later, both felt that the knots of their Hearts were now untied; both smiling, while walking in the opposite direction, with tears in their eyes and relief in their Spirits.

“Practice the feeling of Oneness.

Do not try to get ahead of others.

You are bound to be supremely happy.” – Sri Chinmoy.

Dawn and Donne

All One in God's Loving Embrace

We are all one in Spirit. My weaknesses lie in your own weaknesses, and my strengths in your strengths. We are essentially one, and while one may follow the Path of loneliness and another the Path of Love, we are essentially seeking the same beauty that resides in the secret alcove of the Soul.

I rise in the morning; wash my face; attend to my prayers and bathroom duties. Then I eat, if necessary, prepare or steel myself for the day ahead, and if working, I leave the house, shutting the door behind me as I go.

It is another new beginning; another virgin dawn, and I go forth to do my duty; to obtain some hard-earned cash, hoping to pay my bills; to put some food on the table for either myself, or a family together. Somewhere on the other side of Australia or Africa, many are mimicking me or doing something similar.

Red faces, white faces, brown, black or oriental, Hispanics …Catholics, Hindus, Buddhists’, Muslims, Jews …all trying to make ends meet in this beautiful but sometimes weary sojourn, which we know as ‘Life.’

“No man is an Island, entire of itself; every man is a piece of the continent, a part of the main. If a clod be washed away by the sea, Europe is the less, as well as if a promontory were, as well as if a manor of thy friend's or of thine own were: any man's death diminishes me, because I am involved in mankind, and therefore never send to know for whom the bells tolls; it tolls for thee." – John Dunne.

John Dunne was not only an exceptionally gifted poet, but as gifted poets often are, he knew the bond of Eternal Oneness. Not quite, but a bit like what we call collaboration or Team Work in the organisation or even football field. They bring results.

We are all links, holding together in this perpetual chain of Time. Sometimes, one or two stronger brothers or sisters break free, and by the Grace of the ever-compassionate; the Divine mercy, they return to share; to encourage; to inspire...

This Earth is no field of roses. We struggle, feel pain, burn with fire until it’s intense heat feels like it’s pulling at our very Heart-beat: Our pulse. And yet, with all its darkness, storms and vicissitudes, it is still a beautiful world. Many fears are borne out of loneliness, separation, painful experiences; gross cruelty by those who – for God’s own reasons – harbour the most atrocious consciousness. Again, many storms are disguised blessings just waiting in the wings of Time.

Yet we can and do rise, singing the glory of the resilience or tenacity of men and women, who light a path before them, showing that if we refuse to give up, to be broken, then ALL is possible! As we move forwards, let us let go, accept, forgive in the true traditional spirit of Christmas, allowing the happiness and joy which is innately ours, to permeate our spirits, in joyful harmony with the Creation in all its quintessential wonder. Singing with the Seer this most profound and astute experience:

– “Only two miracles are worth seeing:

The miracle of Loving,

And the miracle of forgiving.” – Sri Chinmoy

Today, on this glorious morning, in the Spirit of the ever-transcending Splendour, I encourage you all my brothers and sisters in this oneness-world, to continue to move forward, to march, to run and fly towards our final destination. It may be a long haul of wayfaring, but the journey’s close is filled with beauty, grandeur, and an ever-effulgent Light-Delight. Praise be!

“Life’s perfection-road is very long, but the journey is richly rewarding.”

– Sri Chinmoy.

A Very Happy Christmas to ALL!

Every part of this hub was important. You wrote it well, pointing out the importance of togetherness so beautifully. I think if people would be wise and realize we shouldn't be divided just because of our differences, no matter what they are, what a wonderful world this could be. Everyone should wake up to a new beginning. I do my very best to keep that thought when my eyes open in the morning. I completely loved this hub and I will pass it on. :)

      Yes, Deb.

Perhaps it's the simplicity of life that gets us, as we seem to expect the complicated. Some of us leave the free meditation workshops, e.g., in order to pay for expensive weekend retreats, some of which cover much mental knowledge, and make our heads more filled than they were before.

      Happy Christmas, My Dear friend.

Well, it's like this: You know that I have travelled to many countries. 42, I believe, and some quite a few times. When we were going to Ethiopia, we asked a question as to whether or not we should, as there was political unrest in Addis Ababa (long time ago) The answer came back that now was the time that we were needed.

So in a different time and with so much going on, perhaps now is the time for forgiveness. Seriously though, I think we need these essential virtues daily. Still, every little bit helps. Thank you so much, my loving Dee.

As usual, great support from you Venkatachari M. I appreciate this. I'm so happy that you mention Sri Chinmoy. He was not a Swami. A Swami is rarely a God-realised Soul. With one or two notable exceptions, they are mostly teaches and good men. Much Love.

Ruby, I thank you so much! A great Christmas to you and family also. Higher blessings.

      Well Bro.

I stopped listening to the news in April. I do not miss it. I get enough from the computer as the TV is very alive and in your face. Hence very depressive. It makes good men and women very passionate and low in spirits. This is then transferred on. It's a real problem. Much Love.

I could not answer your quiz! "Not so sure" was nearly my pick. We could work well if we had truly Christian leaders with something other than filling their pockets in mind.

I am at a point where I must dismiss the national and internationl news as it is too horrific for me. I did love your stories and poem.

Dawn yes, but then you are an esoteric poet like me, so it would come naturally to you. My Teacher used it, and many mystical poets uses it. I explained the word to a Polish translator only a few days ago. Such a meaningful word!

I see that you've gone through my writing meticulously. It is the only way. Alas! Not all have the time, because of valid reasons, of course. I will return to what I said to you some time ago. God sent you, and for this I am all Gratitude. Much Love, my Sweet Didiji.

Rohini’s story was beautiful. United we tie the knots of Love, divided we fall and build hatred towards all. Why build walls? Why build walls? Let’s learn to crawl and then rise, and then again crawl, for this is a human nature, and we must abide by all rules which are enshrined on walls; the walls of our Heart. Loved the quotes by Sri Chinmoy. I admire your writing craft. Filled with pearls of wisdom; footprint for many to follow, many.

‘… I encourage you all my brothers and sisters in this oneness-world, to continue to move forward, to march, to run and fly towards our final destination. It may be a long haul of wayfaring, but the journey’s close is filled with beauty, grandeur, and an ever-effulgent Light-Delight....’ - Manatita

So much beauty, transcendence and truthfulness in your encouraging words.

Coleman has well-articulated about Rumi in the video. Lovely pictures too! Wonderful and inspiration! Hats off. Jai Ram.

P.S. Dawn seems to be your favourite like me. I see you have used dawn in many poems. Lovely.
