We Know What We Must Do
It's Not Complicated
Keep our minds open to new suggestions and ways
Start with your own personal deep desires
You have so many loves that can become known
When we think we get in touch with are mind
Fine tuning what makes us happy not just on the surface
All the layers deep underneath
To often we get caught up in the daily drama
That not only saps our energy but our spirit
Finding fault is easy
It takes time to find the things that motivate and encourage us to do more
We are dealing with so many emotions
That are not easy to separate
They have taken years to grow
Their roots are planted deep
Connected to everything we know
Our health is affected by our thoughts for the good and also the bad
So it is important that we keep exercising
To keep fit the best we can
A little exercise is better than no exercise
I say keep moving and after you develop a routine
You have more energy to do the things you want
In the beginning your muscles resist any effort
I think it is our mind thinking and analyzing the situation
Bringing up old memories and reliving them
Confusing exercise with a bad experience in the past
A time where we worked to hard and our bodies ached
If we reprogram out thoughts
By suggesting exercise is good
Healthy and productive
When our body is in good shape
We can handle any obstacle with ease
After awhile it will become easier
We might have picked old bad habits that hurt us mentally
Our mind is trying to protect us for our own good
it does not understand how important staying healthy is
Sure we read about articles and people that are in shape
It seems like too much work
Turning away instead of lifting up our feelings to match our needs
Once we are in shape it is a lot easier to stay in shape
The physical and emotional benefits are phenomenal
They affect our thoughts and our future
This is where I write on paper my step by step plan
Without a guide we blindly struggle and it becomes too hard
I know you keep saying why do I have to write it down when I have it all up my head
Because your mind remembers so many important things
Your vision can become blurred
Like looking through a cracked lens
To avoid any trouble down the road
Besides looking at all your progress is important
To pat yourself on the back when no one else will
To see when you started and where you are at
You also can see when you slip up
People don't want to be reminded of the times we do not do well
It is necessary to grow
Don't take it personal
You don't have to be so critical
No beating yourself up if you missed a workout or even a week
You have done so much and keep going
No need to stop
Just a little reminder to stay healthy
Not once a month or a year
Day to day from here on out
It seems like a very long time to do anything
Don't look that far into the future
If it makes you crazy with worry
Take it one day at a time
Your energy levels will rise
Every action will become easier
Your mind will think better
Think of our life as building blocks stacked up one on top of the other
We build a strong base
Then we start
Watching them rise high off the ground
Lets see if we can stack five high
Make little goals
Leave plenty of room
We might want to make rows
We set no limits
Don't worry what others say
Keep going your results will speak for itself
Take pride in your future and others will too
I have to fix my blocks
I must of rushed and now they came tumbling down
Having fun building them is something we all can do
With a little effort why not give it a try
So surprise yourself with blocks so high
You have to look down at the sky
