We Are Not Human: a short poem

Updated on June 5, 2014

art & poetry by Brian Loewer

We in perfect chaos
on eternities shallow shore,
are warped by time,
within this frail shell.
Flesh, Spirit, and Mind,
Human Kind
are chained in reason
but freed in truth.
In observation,
we battle our minds,
to explain ourselves.
Which, in and of itself,
is a miracle.
A spiritual awareness,
that allows discovery,
beyond measure-
allows thought
beyond explanation.
A species forced to face
questions of reason.
Existential dilemmas,
these improbabilities
are a human question.
A unique condition,
of blood,
and of sweat,
and of soul,
we are not human,
we are IMPOSSIBLE.

I hate your skills due to the fact I'm a jealous soul, ha... You seek truth and I really applaud your work.
