What a Beautiful Day I Have Been Given

Updated on August 13, 2012

What a beautiful day I woke to find
With lots of warmth, a sun to shine,
A gentle breeze to fill the air,
And kiss my skin, caress my hair.

What a beautiful day you have given me
With lots of joy most heavenly,
And thoughts of days now so long past
But filled with love to forever last.

What a beautiful day we have to share,
After all this time to show you care,
To let me know despite the pain
That love survives the harshest strain.

What a beautiful day surrounding me,
To bring me close enough to see
That you are always here with me,
With love to guide my destiny.

Yes, a beautiful day that feels my heart,
So you must know this one last part...
That all I ask from those above
Is to share with those I love.

Such a beautiful poem, just as everyone said above. You have a beautiful soul to be able to write this....just sayin', and that rocks! Voted up and beautiful.

Feels so good to know that you appreciated the day when you woke up :) beautiful poem!

otherwise in this hustle bustle of life; all i can relate to is...what is the day and whether it is hot or cold outside so that I wear that attire!!
