A Poem, What is Rejection? a Reflection about Sadness.Look at the funny side.
Petals in the snow
A Poem of Sadness
Rejection
Like blood spattered in the snow they lay
The tiny heart - like petals fluttered in the breeze
They offered no resistance and blew away
Their dispersal showing pain will ease
The false love they stood for gone
Two hearts in harmony no longer love nor hate
the old bull stamps and turns to seek another mate
The memories of times together fade
Other pastimes fill the void we made
That others have the power to hurt we never learn
Yet moth-like to the flame we will return
We yearn for love but choose not well
The secret formula like witches spells
Is hid from us and no one tells
The old wounds heal but leave a scar
So this time we will not fall so far.
The Old Bull Turns
Thoughts Across the Miles
Rekindled Thoughts Across the Miles.
From dusty Plains to rainy shores
Excitement grows and soars.
Where this will lead to no one knows.
From ages past the hazy vision glows.
A surge of curiosity from far off days.
Are thoughts 'things'?
Or silver birds with gilded wings
Let from iron cage with anklet rings.
Free at last it swoops and sings.
Basking at last in late summer's rays.
