What it is… (poem)

They say the grass is always greener
But what makes green better?
We all fight to get to the top.
Is it because of the weather?

We say we want to change the world
But change comes from the outside not in.
Decide what you want and go for it.
But what is it that you actually win?

To gain one thing means to lose another
Who has time to consider that?
Assign importance to everything.
Compromise your every belief stat.

They say the end justifies the means
But what is that you mean?
Be accepted at all costs to yourself.
A self destruction that is so obscene.

They say home is where the heart is.
So why do we leave it so much?
Do we say it with a heavy heart?
Or is it your soul we can touch.
