Death Poetry: When Death Comes Knocking
I see you walking outside my window
Only five small steps separates your from knocking on my door
But what can I do
You are coming for your due
Now only four steps remaining till you come knocking on my door
I've been to church
Prayed for God to have mercy on my soul
Told my family I love them today
Now only three steps till you come knocking on my door
I think about all the things I could have done better.
But what's the point now of keeping score
When death comes a knocking
And only two more steps till he's knocking on my door
I'm begging and pleading now
Please Death just give me a little more
I need some time to set things right
Please Death don't come knocking on my door
Knock
Knock
Knock
Death's knocking on my door
I turn the knob to let him in
Crash! My body hits the floor .
