When I Think, I Fall Asleep
"It isn't easy being green" great philosopher,Kermit the Frog, once said. Being a genius and knower of all things isn't easy either. To the common man, having an answer to everything may seem a blessing from the Gods but many of us are misunderstood and hounded for answers, forced to live incognito often pretending to be fools. How many times during your school days did you see some "loser" with his or her head on the desk, soundly sleeping while class was in session? Did it ever occur to you this might be an incognito genius quietly contemplating the physics of light beams while you listened to the instructor's drone? Its very possible. We are quite inconspicuous hoping to draw little attention to ourselves. Ours is an exhausting burden to carry so we often lean against walls, rest on park benches, and even pretend to be listening rather than explain why we don't care. Who do think came up with the line, " I'm not sleeping, I'm just resting my eyes."? It was a genius in disguise trying to avoid an interchange with a bunch of genius groupies.
So next time you encounter that "slacker", always dozing through class or life... embrace him, accept him, treat him with honour, for he could be world's greatest mathematician, scientist, savant, or even the most intelligent interior decorator in the universe. Our future could very well rest on your next encounter with an incognito genius. Let him be free, roaming unencumbered by the routine obligations of the common masses. When approached and asked for spare change, give them everything you've got. These exalted beings must be remunerated for their contributions which make all our lives so much better. I, for one, am truly grateful for free stuff.
I'm tired. Think I'll go take a nap.
