When Love Surprises U

My wife called me and said .....

I just want to say I Love You

It doesn't get any nicer than that

We were both doing our own things

My wife watching t.v. and me on the computer in the other room

We have managed to eat and now this was our time to relax

Alone time so nice and so important

We love each other so much

There are things we like to do alone that makes us different from each other

Even though we have an endless list of things we 100% absolutely agree on

That is the key

To find what works and use it every chance you get

Each day starts out wonderful and anything can and will happen

We have our ups and  downs

We push until our eyes bug out of our eye sockets

Then we know it's time to stop

Another day will come and replace this one soon

I am not sure if that is a good thing or a bad thing

Nevertheless we take on all challanges

Finding something good about the day

No matter how small

It could be as simple as I like what we had for supper tonight or as lame as the weather was good today

With a good start I add to my list with things like

We have enough gas in the car and it won't cost us another twenty five dollars

I am happy about that

How about I am doing the things that I can control

The laundry is done for another day

We both feel well and that's the way we plan to stay

When we see other people with colds or a flu

It is no joke when you feel down and out and under the weather

No matter how good your day might be you won't see it

When I hear those innocent words from my wife

My day is complete

I just wanted to share

A love that shows and surrounds my life with promise

I am not where I want to be

I am striving for more

I will enjoy all my special joys that come from many different directions

Those things that bother me are to be investigated further

Not to control my life but to understand where they belong in the great scheme of things

I keep pushing for more pleasure that my mind believes is possible

Even though I only have evidence of the contrary

I am shooting for that target in the dark

I wish I had night vision that would make it so much easier

Life is what we make of it

I am making a pb & j sandwhich and the rest is a whim in the wind

I will try to chart my progress and my disasters that crush my spirits

If anything else gets accomplished in this new year it is because I never give up and I am planning to do all I can

With my writings go my thoughts,passions and dreams

From a distant thought to reality before my eyes

I am always shocked and surprised at my innovations and techniques

For I made my way through the blizzard of 2010

Now with that accomplishment what is next

I open a book and read a few lines

Learning more than before and leaving the rest up to my imagination
