When The Rain Has Stopped

Updated on July 18, 2012

Natures Way

Do we show little or no control over our own life ?

Life that interacts with other forms of life right before our eyes

Why don't we see how much we are not connected ?

The weather controls the way we feel

An outside influence that keeps guiding us to a new direction

To purposely go where other people don't dare to go

Walking on the edge of sanity

Watching all humanity

Why don't we learn from all the examples that reveal the truth ?

When is being caught up in the finer things in life just a distraction

Going back to a simpler day

So basic and free

Not complicated and filled with nonsense

So like me stop and think

Do I hear the rain ?

Will today be a day that makes all other days seem insignificant

Has it stopped raining once again ?

I focus on the sun

As I move on to challange the unchallanged

To bring out a desire that I can no longer hide the truth

Here today gone tomorow

raciniwa I can't thank you enough for reading so many of my stories and poems. It is wonderful when we give life new meaning. It is a pleasure to see the rain and the sundshine.Do you know if I borrow the c from your name your name becomes rainiwa. It sounds like a word in a tribal language that someone might say when they feel the first rain drop.Rainiwa ...meaning It's raining,it's raining.rain is water.I could be used without the s.Young children pronounce water wa wa.The C stands for creative and curious about life and how things got to be the way they are.Who knows what history forgot to mention.Just a crazy thought to play with.As always dream often and dream BIG!!!!

kj force I came back to talk about the rain and the rain has come. What a crazy coincidence or is it?There is nothing like the rains constant chatter when it taps the leaves and everything else it sees.I am so blessed to experience so much. The weather is cooling off thanx to the rain.I can here cars drive by as the unique sound they make when they kick up some water.I live for remineders and they are like highlighters that guide me in the right direction.Thanx so much for sharing,

PHILLYDREAMER You are a better person than me.I have trouble telling the two apart.I love so many interests and then I love nature and the simple things like a flower that blooms and shines in the light.A rock that gets beaten by the weather but still lasts forever.katyzzz When we find the littlest things that make us happy everything else becomes so much easier.Thanx to you both and one happy kitty kat goes on his merry way.

I see material things as little strings that attach to us to keep us somewhere. When we lose everything we finally understand there is nothing keeping us from pursuing our dreams,

shiningirisheyes I get busy doing things that I think are important.I looked out the window and realized I never even noticed the beauty of the rain.As if it wasn't important if it rained or not. Then I got to thinking how wonderful nature is and how could I be so preoccupied with other things in my life and not enjoy such incredible beauty.Nature brings all people and animals together.Brings us back to the core of life.Thanx for sharing and may we all take the time to enjoy the love of nature and all life.

Wonderfully inspiring and so insightful. I do love the rain although I understand this symbolism of it here.
