My Poetry Thoughts
I haven't been writing poetry long, but wanted to send a few out to all my fan(s).I am a English Literature student and only became interested in poetry when my class began to study it. Now I have found my passion. This is the start of a long line of poetry that I will put forth on these pages. Please enjoy.
When Time came Knocking....
I was startled and surprised when
Time came and knocked on my door.
That's when I paused Curiously
as I walked across the apartment floor.
At first I was afraid,
But then turned quite sore
When I saw that it was Time
who was standing there on the fore.
Why was Time here and now,Wrong place,
Wrong time. It couldn't be right
for time to be knocking now
And giving me such a fright.
The thoughts started racing
like cars through my mind
When I looked him in the face
It all seemed to un-wind
I felt I had just started
on this fine life to dine
It couldn't be over
This great feast of mine
But Time stood and smiled
as I opened the door
then he said, I'm sorry
I'm on the wrong floor.
