When your body parts start to wear out
What do I do ?
There comes a time in your life that things don't work the same
You get up one morning and your bones creek
Later that day you go to lift something and you hear a pop
That wasn't popcorn in the popper either
It was one sign of many your body is aging
You can turn up the radio and pretend you didn't hear it
But if you don't make the radio louder you won't hear it
Then there is more
When your feet hit the floor and they send aching signals to the brain
Your body may be quiet niave and say something like who me ?
I was fine yesterday what could of happened ?
I don't get it ?
What do you mean my knee is kind of swollen
You limp your way to the computer for some added rest
Was it that long ago that you use to run the beach
Two centuries came and disappeared before you needed glasses
Your upset stomach is telling you that you had something it didn't agree
Is it the green peppers that I always use to eat ?
Why can't I stop burping ?
A little intergestion nothing to worry about
When you see a higher forehead than before
Where did my hair go ?
When you get your first back ache
I must of slept wrong
When you get up to go pee in the midddle of a sleep since you couldn't wait till morning
When touching your toes becomes an all day project
I know I can, I know I can, oh skip it I got half way isn't that enough
When the muscles in your neck tighten up for no reason
Ouch that hurts
You wimper loud enough to be heard but not loud enough for anyone to care
When you go to church and kneeling down is a thought out process
I can grab hold of back of the bench hear and bend
Then getting up I will do it slowly
Why do we have to do it again
Wasn't once enough
When we start to fall asleep when someone is talking
When you start to take alieve and asprin hours before
Just incase to cover your tracks
So that you don't add any pain to the list
Each time I say it is all in my mind and please go away
My body knows different and says it is time to prepare
When you put your primary care physician on speed dial
Old age is catching up to you
The next time we meet you will have a new list of health aches
But for now nothing to serious
A little extra rest and some good luck
Can keep you out of the doctors way
For one more day
