Where's there is life.....There is Hope.

Updated on February 24, 2014

Where there's life..... there's hope.!

That's what people say.

For so many years it made no sense,

Childhood of mine was not that way.

Talk of life and death.

Mum could breathe, yet still she died.

That's how it seemed to me.

Now l understand....No-one lied.

Not death every time,

Where there's life there's hope.

Of survival to a longer life.

Hope is here in a world of strife.

Evidently he has had such a hard day..
Evidently he has had such a hard day..

Treatments are improving

For cancers of all sorts.

And heart disease ....there's now more hope

Of normal life for those who grope

And grasp at straws for loved ones

Not wanting to see life fade out.

Young or old may they survive,

Of course we wish they stay alive.

The Pope and other "Holy men"

Use doctors of the best.

They're in no hurry to reach Heaven

Or be quickly laid to rest.

Funny that !! I've always thought.

If Heaven is so great.

They're not exactly queueing up,

No-one wants to set a date.

I guess when you live in a Palace

Whilst preaching to the poor,

You'd not be eager to leave it,

Not knowing what's in store.

For who returned to comfort

The clergy of this world.

Telling them, their thrones await,

Beyond the Heavenly Pearly Gates?

No-one that l know of,

Though Jesus Christ himself,

Promised first would one day be last,

Maybe from Him , the poor can take heart.

For they will be first in the eyes of God

They will have clothes, their feet will be shod.

They will have feasts of plenty to eat,

Never again to starve in the heat.

Who am l to say such things?

I don't..... l only quote....

Bible prophecy and Jesus words,

Where there's life.....there's hope.!

Nothing in this poem is meant to offfend anyone.I merely point out certain things as l see them.

No where in the bible does it say that poor equals good and rich equals bad.

(The LOVE of money is the root of evil)

Wealthy people are just as likely to have a good and generous heart as a poor man.

"Where there's life...There's hope" Cicero. One of my favorite quotes and words that I clung to while my own mother battled one of the horrible diseases of this world. Cancer. Hope doesn't always pan out like we want, but when we know that a merciful God has a better plan, a better place and a better outcome that we can hope or imagine... hope remains and peace is found.

I also like how you pointed out in your note following your piece, that wealth does not make one evil and being poor does not make one good. It is the content of ones heart, no matter rich or poor, that defines a person. Thanks for sharing. Voted up awesome and sharing :-)

A wise ol' man once told me getting old is h*ll, but growing old and poor is even worse. God rest his soul. Can't but agree with your sentiments here, Dim. Heaven, hell...more than one trip on the earth with these temporary spacesuits we call bodies, whatever the case may be, I don't see anyone I know lining up either. Take care good lady, great to see you!

Yes, why do some folks profess one thing and "are very satisfied with their healthcare as it is"?
