Who Say's Grown Men Don't Cry
I once sat beside a Man who tried with tears to make me understand
His Life you see would be empty of all meaning
If he were to be without me
I sat and watched as tears brought forth
And pleading eyes to me
All that was good and pure and kind
I once sat beside a Man who with tears in his eyes
Begged of me not to forsake him and the tears did urgently flow
As did the longing within me to believe
I blocked out the twinkle and the lies
And focused on his tear filled eyes
Yes I once sat beside a Man whose tears were shadowed by lies and deceit
But within my heart, I knew it wrought
But I needed to see and hear the false
I listen no more to tales of woe
And tears that flow in gentle drops that tell a tale
Of heartbreak and never stopped
Grown Men do cry you see when it's a tale of woe and misery
To get their way and have you believe that the lies they tell
Cut's them deep
I once sat beside a Man who dared to convince me that
It was just his way
The tears they were so genuine and sprang freely
But alas my tears did not affect him seemly
