Why did you start Writing

Updated on April 12, 2018

Devika enjoys sharing her work with a friendly community. Writing is a big part of her life. Online work has improved her lifestyle.

Write from the heart

Do you think writing has earned you fairly?

The aspiring writer will find writing a great idea and an experience too.

Writing encourages writers to be positive, and to increase their knowledge on various subjects.

Complied thoughts are a few to ponder on each day.

You need to write to earn and to enjoy what you do for yourself.

A pleasure is a wonderful idea too.

Whether, you are writing a book, or in preparation for a blogging site writing has its ups and downs online or when at your desk.

I like to think hard and learn each day, though lately writing hasn't been my best past time.

The little time I have daily hasn't given the opportunity to write as much as I should have been.

Do you think writing is a winner for you?

In my case, writing helped me through difficult times and I did not ignore that part of my life.

Writing is about sharing what makes you feel good or not so good.

If you want to share about an educational topic that too is a great idea.

Do you call yourself a writer?

Is writing a part of your life?

Do you show off your writing skills?

Don't let your work down with silly mistakes.

You dreamed of being a writer but are you prepared for the criticism?

Are you affected by negative comments?

Writers are affected by poor writing skills.

A poorly written article can lead you to misleading and a misunderstanding.

When you address your work you need to do so with effort and time.a

The less effort and less time puts you in a weak spot.

A writer who fails to express themselves in their work allows for weak performances.

The purpose of you writing leads to obstacles.

Bad content leads to bad communication between reader and writer.

You damage your reputation before creating that steady platform.

The quality of your work fails and this applies to all content.

You can write for yourself or for money.

Writing comes from the heart what you put on paper is grasped in a natural manner.

Each mistake you make it costs you money and your reputation.

In such moments you can lose your ability to write.

The mistakes made causes you to be unhappy and less confident to share your work online.

Why does this happen?

You lose faith in yourself. Before you decide to get your work published gather information together and know what you are writing.

Writing takes time and be prepared for the tough times before feeling confident.

Don't lower other writers and think the world of yourself as a writer.

A writer's feelings can be hurt instantly if you chat about their poorly written work. Chances are that you need to do more to feel good about your work.

Important:

Don't quit writing!

You grow with yourself over time and learn the tricks of writing. Everybody learns from another about life's lessons.

Focus on what you want to write. Sometimes you don't think about how you write instead you focus on how much you will earn from writing.

Read the best and the worst to learn more about writing skills.

Write what you know is the key to informative writing.

The knowledge you have can be shared with others. Learn lessons from each other.

I learned to write about me and to share the with my readers. Culture shock and international marriages are some of what I learned to share here.

My great interest in herbal teas and Indian spices is another topic I know a lot of through personal experiences.

There are several topics of which I share to my readers.

Knowledge is power!

Practice makes perfection!

Write each day to improve on that.

Talent is a gift and is from yourself. You can dedicate your time with constant practice to write and write and to get it right.

If you don't do it through enjoyment writing will get boring.

You need to make you the subject of your work.

Have passion for what you do each day.

Writing should be a passionate effect in your life.

Write about what you love and see how that works for you.

Be honest and true to yourself.

Believe in yourself.

Find your comfort zone and work in that pace. Your interesting ideas will catch a reader's eye.

I write when I feel comfortable at the computer and when I know I have a clear mind.

Whatever you choose to writer think about the message it sends to an audience.

Is it a happy, positive, sad, or negative message?

Is writing healing you from a bad experience?

Write in a peaceful environment. Words flow easily when you are relaxed.

A writer develops new ideas when they allow the free flow of words on a certain topic in mind. A technique that can be mastered with regular practice. If you allow for free flow of words writers block won't affect you.

Remember what you write and share with others holds in the way you represent your self image. Your personality is disclosed in the way you write. The way you see the world is opened up to your readers. The quality of your work is more important than the quantity.

A write chooses to open up different emotions and that needs to be taken honestly.

A creative mind can bring a lot to the table.

The writing style you use plays a huge role from your thinking power and to your positiveness.

Writing is not for everyone.

I am not sure if writing is for me. I chose to share my story with readers. If they understand the way I write and have walked in my shoes, only will they know what it is like to write about change.

My move to Croatia gave me the energy to write more about my experiences.

I started writing mostly from my experiences. Writing opened my mind to be confident in my new life.

Challenging as it may sound writing hasn't let me down. I feel good and have moved on from my struggles in a foreign country. Most people enjoy reading stories of others, or of similar experiences.

My story is of me married to a foreigner and of how I coped with culture shock.

The change in my life affected my marriage. A different life now and so interesting too.

How change affected my life?

Language.

Communication.

Finances.

Lifestyles.

Culture.

People.

Climate.

Misunderstanding.

Miscommunication.

Marriage.

Writing helped me through those changes. A way of life that taught me how to live and be positive.

There is no option but to be positive. Music is a great part of my life. I write while listening to music it gives me a sense of direction in my thinking and happiness.

I found happiness after a long time and writing did that for me too.

My work is noticed by many readers, I have created my steady platform on Hubpages. I write with an emotion and love it.

Through writing I learned that what can't be spoken can be heard, seen, or recognized and understood, or read by you.

The aspects of life I write about shares my feelings of that topic and of my experiences. Writing in that way allows for a deeper understanding from both sides.

You see, know and feel what I write.

I don't give up!

Use your imagination on the topic chosen.

You must know what you mean by each word written.

Be clear about your topic.

The writing world is a harsh one. Be yourself and discover new ideas to surprise your readers.

I found out that when you are writing to be specifically read and published you tend to lose the focus of writing. The joy you first felt slowly drifts away.

Write in your own terms.

Don't allow others to think for you.

Happy Writing!

Write what you know best in the midst of nature

If it is a distinction to have written a good book, it is also a disgrace to have written a bad one.

Hi Suzettenapkes so glad you commented. I started writing more each day when I moved to Croatia. The changes were difficult to cope with so writing helped a lot. I shared most on HP. Thank you for a kind comment.

This is a very interesting and thought-provoking hub. I started my writing on Hubpages almost five years ago thinking that I could possibly make some good money with my efforts. Quickly did I realize that it is difficult to make much money writing. When I write, I share the enjoyment of my past experiences and also try to educate based on my past jobs, studies, and travel. I am sharing this hub with HP followers.

Thank you for your tweet to Rixx Lotion. Before our herbal lotion, with my husband, we have wrote one book. I enjoyed your writing help here, and can certainly relate! Our book was actually a very needed communication because my husband has so many fascinating stories, that when we went out to dinner, people ended up getting home very late! I felt bad for them and decided to write the book of his stories and then I could say, "Well, it is getting late, and we did actually write a lot more of his stories in our book. Here is our card." That was my motivation and it was a fun and rewarding (yes long and hard at times) experience. www.eoutofego.com is the book website.

Interesting points made by you in this hub!

I don't even remember since when I am writing. As far as I remember I used to write my thoughts in a personal diary everyday when I was in standard 5th or 6th. Of course at that time it was merely few lines but I loved the activity . Therefore writing for me is purely based on interest.

But it has evolved over the years and writing on HP gives me pleasure because writer friends like you read what I have to convey or express through my writing.

Thank you so much for this engaging hub!

Hi Devika (DDE on HubPages) -

In answer to your question, "Why did you start writing?"

I was told by my 1st grade teacher that, unless I started writing, I would be punished by having to sit in the corner of the classroom while wearing a "dunce cap."

      I started to write.

      (smile)

Devika, some excellent advise here worthy of note, not just for new writers, but also experienced ones. I write for pleasure rather than gain and it is my love of nature that love to share with like minded readers. It is true you need to write from the heart, and all your work endorses this sentiment. Great read as always.

Never doubt that writing is for you. You have a very special way of helping readers discover life. Originally, I started writing for money, but when the money didn't flow in like I had hoped, I started writing for fun and for helping people in various aspects of business. I am a real estate broker, an audio book producer, and I love gardening. I mainly write on those three topics.
