Introduction

Recent events have reminded me that some people don’t always act in their own best interest. It is almost self destructive. Why do people allow themselves to follow down this path Is a great mystery. Evolution does not seem to explain this phenomenon.

Background

Recent debate over illegal immigration is one such example. I can understand why the leaders of both party wants to keep this in the back burner. For different reasons, they don’t want this problem resolved. For the people, it is a real crisis. The two camps are divided on how to proceed. On the one hand, we have conservative Republicans that want to stop illegal immigration by securing the wall and strong boder enforcement before any discussion of amnesty. This actually makes sense. On the other hand, Democrats and progressives wants amnesty for the dreamers and they also want to allow a path to citizenship for all the estimated 13 million undocumented immigrants that are already here.

Let‘s examine what has been happening on this front.

Here are some indisputable facts.

  • Illegals and their families are a burden to our hospitals and schools
  • Some illegals carry communicable diseases such as TB and Hepatitus...
  • Illegals are a disportionate segment of the people in federal prisons and some are engaged in drug smuggling and human trafficking and MS13 gangs.
  • Illegals are exploited by local businesses that pay them in cash and below national wage guidelines.
  • Illegals are taking some jobs from Americans and keeping the wages low.

So, Why are Some People for More illegals?

If the theory of evolution as proposed by Darwin is correct, you would think that some groups of humans would want to act in their own interest and better chance at survival. That is not the case. We have groups of people, including Democratic voters, Blacks, Hispanics, and Asians who buy into this ideology that illegal immigrants are good for our country... They say we are a nation of immigrants but fail to distingush legal vs. illegal immigrants. They say the immigrants do jobs Americans won’t do. Except they fail to acknowledge that many professions are still performed by American citizens including housework, fast food, landscaping and fruit pickers... They say illegals pay their share of taxes and are not a burden on the rest of us. They say sancturay cities make our streets safer. Undocumented workers are more likely to cooporate with local police to report crimes. They say offering amnesty is the humane way to deal with these people who came here to seek a better life for themselves and their families. It will bring them out of the shadows and be recognized as Americans.

They say no person is illegal, they are just undocumented. It is a violation of their basic human rights...

When the DACA controversy came up, they want us to be compassionate and allow these “children” of illegal immigrants to be granted amnesty. Yet, they don’t want any improvement to our border control, or build a wall. Why is that?

The real groups that are hurt by illegal immigration run amok - blacks, and low skilled workers and teenagers. The teenage unemployment rate is 40% when it used to be 10% when I was growing up in NYC back in the 1960s.

The minimum wage has been stagnant despite inflation and economic boom. Remember supply and demand, economics 101. When there is a large supply, the demand falls and low wages is the expected results.

The latest Women’s march protest around the country has hurt the women’s movement. These are not the same feminist of the 1960s and 1970s. These latest group of women wearing pink hats are hurting themselves. They don’t seem to know what they want. They are Trump haters. The irony is Trump has done more to help women in his first year in office than President Obama in his 8 years.

The Media

Finally, the group that are the smartest and most educated of all. The media with their fancy degrees have shown themselves to be the biased and least objective group. This past year, their reports have been 90% against the GOP and the Trump White House. In the process, they have created controversy and even affected the stock market with their false reporting. They have damaged their own credibility beyond repair. They just can’t seem to help themselves. Trump Derangement Syndrome has clouded their judgement. Brian Ross of ABC News is one prime example but not the only one.

Summary

So who is looking out for number one? Not the people who support open borders and illegal immigration. Not the ones protesting against Trump. And certainly not the ones reporting fake news to take down an unpopular Presidency. They want our country to loose our sovereignty. We are no better than the rest of the countries in the world, The progressive globalist has a different vision for our future. A future of open borders, UN compliant and one that has disdain for a prsident that wants to Make America Great Again. They have shown they are willing do this even at their own detriment.
