Why I Didn't Write: Part 2

Updated on April 16, 2012

I tried an acrostic poem this time and I think it turned out alright. I just felt like an explanation was needed because I'm in the middle of doing two challenges - a poetry challenge and the 30/30 challenge - and I had writer's block all weekend! So lazy and not a thought in my head!

Note: After reading this one, why not go read: Why I Didn't Write: Part 1!

My little sweetie Higgins!

Sleepiness ruled most of my hours.

Until I decided to plant some new flowers.

Next I filled trash into bag after bag.

Delighted that my dog’s tail now has room to wag.

Afternoon and early evening heavy eyelids I did fight.

Yet another day and a few reasons why I didn’t write.

Your poem was funny and tells of a great way to have a lazy weekend. Love the photo of your little canine friend.

Gypsy, Higgins loves to smile! I think he knows it makes me happy!

Thanks for the comment and vote!

P.S. I'm sure Sid is cute even if he does look like Dracula with his mouth open! Cats are beautiful!

Voted up. This is a cute little poem. Love Higgins and I do believe he's smiling. Whenever I get a picture of my cat Sid with his mouth open he's got these sharp fangs that make him look like Dracula. lol
