Why the Chicken Crossed the Road
This is for your air that I breathed and what it would mean to be holding you and basking you in.
My finger tips grazing through the ends of your hair, gazing into your eyes.
Not presently actually but while on reality breaks I’m quietly thinking about our hands intertwined.
Remembering what it would be like if we were to ever breeze through the tall grasses over on Deer Run in real life.
The age-old "Why’d the Chicken Cross the Road" adage added advantage to be taken for granted: to open up and be vulnerable enough to love unconditionally will toughen any chicken up, that’s why our yellow bellies vanished.
