Windy Grace's Thoughts of the Day - July 16, 2011

Updated on July 16, 2011

Sometimes, it seems, life is pouring layer after layer of the debris that no one else wants over top us. Sometimes, life seems overbearing and our dreams are way out of reach; because, before we can do anything else, we have to sift through all of this garbage. We have to dig ourselves back out from underneath all of this garbage, this chaotic pollution placed upon us by the oblivion of others' lives.

First, we must come to terms with the realization that their lives are not ours. While it is always good karma to assist another human being in their personal endeavors, the bittersweet truth is that it turns into bad karma when you harm your own Self to do it. In the long run, you will find that the more you try to help someone else, the more oblivious they become to your existence as a living, breathing, feeling human being. When you're too nice to another, oftentimes you will find yourself taken for granted and left to rot as you put your blood, sweat and tears into another and their personal accomplishments while neglecting your own.

Is this always true? No, there are a few exceptions to the rule. However, you must research and study each individual case thoroughly based upon certain rules. Do the same rules apply to every situation? Nope.

Life isn't easy. There are no adequate instruction manuals for anything. You live and you learn. Welcome to my thoughts of the day...

Love & Light,
