Without A Word (poem)

Updated on February 27, 2017

Without a word he broke a heart that day

instead of dreams her days were filled with tears

For her each painful heartbeat lasted years

Without one word he let it slip away

-

Well passed this hurdle off to new frontiers

For him each passing day another play

Another dream to dash along the way

Until a silence from his past appears

-

Without a word he too now feels her pain

Her cries of anguish soon would fill the air

Sweet memories with just this one regret

-

He searches for her hoping to explain

About a soulless boy who didn’t care

Without a word he hasn’t found her yet
