Curious Face!

Updated on August 31, 2014

brooding!

blank...

In sheer fright

Her eyes flicker

Like glow-worms,

While laughing

Her teeth snaps

A photo flash,

Her tress

For sure

Is a black fall,

Lo!

The one

Who fisted her lips pink,

Whoever ticked

Her nose right

Must have set

Her jaw-bone straight,

As her questioning ears

Eagerly

Look for responses,

Her fleshed cheeks

Sans dimple

Obviously invite blows;

Her fair face

Let me wonder

If I should gaze

And thus ponder!

nice poem. I like how you describe a seemingly perfect face but in the middle, insert that sinister line, "all about blows." It is a stark contrast between a happy rhythm and simple description to a dark mystery behind it all.

What does happen when you see such a thing? Great description and writing.

you painted clear pictures in my mind.

and i love the use of imagery in the poem...

well, i just saw her face in my mind's-eyes.
