Beyond all Words

Some seek it in solitude, some in ethos,

Who on earth has found all the answers !

We fight over words spoken eons ago,

Can these explain a moment in time ?

We relax resting our heads on pillows,

Pores of skin feeling the comfort of bed,

Silent in the mind wander stray thoughts,

Wonder can we ever fathom this world !

Storms of life far behind, we seek peace,

Breathing sings in rhythm, whispers soft,

The heart beats with grace and all ease,

Each cell of the body baths in beatitude.

Enters the mind succulence of all feelings,

Passions spin the heart and swirl the mind,

We relax and rest, how innocuous it looks!

Relieved of tiredness,we throng to the world.

Nothing bizarre we find, nothing curious,

Till the brain moves on and seek words,

We strive to fathom what this existence is !

How calm dawns and soothes the soul !

Temporal to live moments, to feel is heaven,

Mundane to look around, to relish is bliss,

To follow senses mortal, to lead is liberation,

Infinity loves to tease, subtle and impervious.

A drop has ocean, a glance worlds galore,

How we keep peeping into the yonder skies !

We speculate how creation plays the game ?

Silence knows the answer, feeble are words !

Thanks, teaches for your kind comments. Scriptures say that the bliss we yearn for is beyond words ; nonetheless, we are resolute to express it in words. Our spirit sometimes is very daunting ! You are right that we must wait and watch. Thanks for appreciating the poem.

If only words were able to tell everything, sometimes you have to leave things be or wait. Lovely poem!

Sometimes I think not being able to express everything exactly in words is kind of a blessing for us because our whole life is spent on a constant search and experience of bliss and pleasure. Devika, I'm glad you liked this poem, appreciated it and offer such kind comments. Thank you very much for your constant support.

No words can express everything in life the true meaning of expression is by true experiences. I enjoyed the great meaning this hub.

This is the most apt commentary on the motive of this poem. truthfornow, whatever brief moments we turn into words say something but it is like smelling a little bit of fragrance from a vast orchid that keeps spreading it's fragrance, charm and beauty. You touched on the right nerve of this poem. Thanks for your kind visit, appreciating the poem and presenting such beautiful comments.

Sometimes words can't express or aren't quite good enough to express every thing that we feel and the every thing that this world is about. It often seems that we can only capture brief moments with our words.

Frank, however intense and deep we feel in our mind and heart, ways of the eternity are still hard to explain and beauty and grandeur of this whole existence eludes us. Nonetheless, we try and search earnestly and bring forth spectacular words and enjoy ourselves. Thanks for your kind visit, appreciation of the poem and cordial support.

Words can explain almost everything in this world Harishprasad, but sometimes there are no words to express certain feelings or thoughts. true relaxation like yoga requires you to try to absent yourself from words and thoughts. I am sometimes at a loss to find the right words to describe certain situations and thoughts. Well written, voted up.

Kevin, our every action, every moment, every feeling and in fact everything implies so much that sometimes I wonder what to say and how to say. This poem is an effort to tell all that. I'm glad you liked it, appreciated and presented such a lovely comment. Thank you very much.

Sometimes the words are just not enough. That is when I know it is time to go into the silence and listen to the voice of my soul. Beautiful poem, harishprasad.
