Words Screamed In Silence
Does anyone know
The blows you feel as cavalier words are shot off without a thought
As thoes you just wish would be proud of you tear you down as you stand with spirit in utter submission
The bright eyes in which you seek comfort strain to ravage the gentle smile upon your split lips
Why dont you cry out
Do you nolonger have hope
Or have ebony and ivory commited themselves to waging war within your soul
Are your eyes still windows or have they become oil marked screens of the past
The scars on your fingers bold reminders of how your pride was vanquished
Does your hair hold times color or have voices colored it with oppression
Is your breath clear or has it become an apprentice of smog
Be your heart real or has it taken on the dementions of parchment
The temperature of your body seems to defy the elements yet your movements give in to the rhythm of persecution
Does anything guide you
Compel you
Motivate you
Anger you
Tourture you
Have you done anything
I speak not of human levels but of thoes beyond that lay within thoes dreams that brought you wonder and joy in a time silenced
Do you live or are you living
Does time compel you or comand you
Is love a feeling or a state of being
What is truths state
Do you run from chaos or have you welcomed it as a cloak about your shoulders
Do colors catch you
Do scents seduce you
Does touch take you over
Are you the master of yourself or have you signed that ownership over to thoes who delight in displaying you helplessly on lifes theatre stage
Do you think or mearly ponder
Are you longing for the very thing which evades you just as the wind evades just description
Do you wish for peace
Are words your haven do they silence the tounges darting about your mind
Or are your silent screams thoes folded wings
Burned by fire
Guilded by ice
Contorted by air
Enslaved by earth
Loyal to spirit
Will you choose to speak or forever will you scream inside your silence.
