Words in the Wind
Words of rhyme, written to be shared, from the spirit, to know one so cared,
Sent into the air, or the empty void, for those to hear it, so lovingly it shared.
Spoken without a voice, only written words, by a choice, the facts all bared,
Heartfelt conversations, inward innovations, to steer it, with feelings spared.
Emotions sent to the stars, riding clouds, like candy bars, into darkest night,
Full of sweetness, much too strong, in silence to belong, disregarding fright.
Meant to be kept inside, only on paper to reside, forever there, does belong,
Words of joy, some so sad, perhaps as clever, ones so bad, shown in song.
The parchment inked well, a story there to tell, and of its meaning, to prevail,
As a simply stated voice, not by any choice, its special message intervening.
History told, a journey to unfold, as seas are blue, a vast landscape greening,
Revealed now, today, tomorrow may run away, on imagination, given leaning.
Breaking all the rules, those ones learned in schools, the ones of written words,
Now is the time, whether in free verse, or those that rhyme, now to fly as birds.
Expressed in all compassion, sunny-side up, any fashion, sharing each lament,
Ability to communicate, never is learned too late, all hear, as all is heaven sent.
As the cool winds blow, in Winter turns to snow, sends all the wording spiraling,
Should anyone wish to know, the lyrics there to show, are soon to be transpiring.
Made into songs, so delightful, from a mind, insightful, all as taken from the past,
Curious to every mind, help leave bad thoughts behind, as all pleasure, will last.
