I feel your presence.

I want to write the perfect sonnet

create a simple lyric

showcasing what you mean to me

for you make the world seem less harsh.

You remind me of the beauty, kindness and care.

I listen to the music

strumming from your bard harps.

On those days when all seems bleak,

there you are encouraging,

sending strength.

While my memory ebbs and flows

or headaches I never had before

pound and seem to last forever,

there you are providing

medicinal music,

serenity, peace and love.

Trying to find paper and pen,

I struggle with writer’s block.

My hands shake.

My mind bends.

Seeking direction,
