God has his hand in all
When we give children the tools
One day we will be amazed when we see our child retain
much of the wisdom that we shared
how they use it much the same
Hand them the tools they need in life
patience, compassion, how to deal with strife
It may come in forms such as art
dealing with matters of the heart
Our children will also teach us
how to be playful and conscientious
to be better than we ever thought
able to resolve with talk
seeing ourselves through their eyes
finding our own truth so no need to lie
At the time when they move away
relax they have the tools you gave
