Writers Block (A Funny Poem)
I never thought I would have said, this day I should have stayed in bed.
This story will not write itself, but I wish it would its damaging my health!
I wander lonely as a cloud, oh screw you Wordsworth I say out loud.
Stick two fingers up to my computer; our love hate relationship requires sutures; as I bang my head on my keyboard again.
Where is the creative flow I once called a friend? Instead to be replaced by this writers block,
oh how I desire to unlock; the secret room labelled new ideas, Instead I have self loathing and five cans of beer
Mouths to feed and a novel to write, one must wonder if I’ll give up the fight.
Once it seemed like I fulfilled my dream, now I just stare at this blank computer screen.
