You Knew (short poem)
You knew you could twist me around your finger
You knew you could flip my own words upon me
You taunt and you tease, desire left to linger
You knew you could wait until you had drawn me
Your lies
They fell through
You feigned ignorance
You knew that I knew
You plead repentance
You knew I would stay
I saw through your trap
Just to call out my name
Yet fell into your lap
You knew
Every weakness I had
You knew
I want you so bad
You knew
You’re driving me mad
You knew
Eventually
I would stay
Here
In the darkness
With you
