You Left, I Waited

Updated on September 16, 2011

You Left, I Waited

You left me then
So fast, so quick.
I was caught off guard
I thought it was a trick.
You told me then
I was the one.
You wanted us forever
And even have a son.
So why'd you leave?
That makes no sense.
I know you'll be back
You'll always be on the fence.
You need some time
For you and friends.
But it kills me inside
Knowing you're with other men.
You may come back
We both know you should.
Should I even take you back?
I don't know if I could.
You wronged me then
In every way.
You took our paths
And led them astray.
Together we were happy
We had future planned.
Only needed each other
Not a million grand.
Now you've been away
You're still my star.
Other guys treated you bad
You wanna move far.
If I don't act quick
I know it's goodbye.
I'll never see you again
I'll never get to try.
I have to act quick
Get you back now.
I'm gonna do it
Just tell me how.
Didn't know you were taken
By some other guy.
Some other ass hole
Who won't even try.
So guess it won't happen
You make me feel small.
Till that night you get dumped
And I get the call.
